Educational Qualification as per UGC Regulations 2018
For Professor Position:
- Ph.D degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline with a minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, with evidence of published work and a minimum of 10 research publications as books and/or research/policy papers
- Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students
- Minimum Academic Performance Indicator (API) score as per UGC norms from among Category III
- For Engineering/Technology positions: First Class Master's Degree in appropriate branch with consistently good academic record and Ph.D with 10 years experience
For Associate Professor Position:
- Ph.D degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline
- Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university
- A minimum of 8 years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College, or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D research
- Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-mediated teaching learning process
- Minimum API score as prescribed by UGC from among Categories I, II, and III
- For Law positions: Minimum 55% marks in LLM and Ph.D in Law as per Bar Council norms
For Assistant Professor Position:
- Master's Degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade in point scale wherever grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university
- Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC, CSIR, or similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET
- OR Ph.D degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline as per UGC Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time (NET shall not be required for such candidates)
- For Engineering positions: First Class B.E/B.Tech AND First Class M.Tech/M.E in relevant branch with NET/GATE qualification OR Ph.D
- For Agriculture: First Class B.Sc (Agriculture) and First Class M.Sc (Agriculture) in relevant specialization from ICAR recognized university
- For Law: LLM with minimum 55% marks and NET/Ph.D as per Bar Council norms
Important Note: NET/SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor in concerned subjects. However, candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D degree in accordance with UGC Regulations, 2009 or 2016, shall be exempted from the requirement of minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment as Assistant Professor.
