Named after the renowned 12th-century Indian mathematician Bhaskaracharya, this college was established in October 1995 and is fully funded by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The college is known for its excellence in science education and research, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various science disciplines. The recruitment provides an excellent opportunity for qualified academicians, including recent postgraduate degree holders, PhD scholars, and even retired/superannuated professors, to contribute to quality education at one of Delhi University's esteemed colleges. Guest Faculty members play a vital role in the academic ecosystem by supplementing the teaching requirements and bringing diverse perspectives and expertise to the classroom. This is particularly beneficial for experienced retired professors who wish to continue contributing to academia and for young scholars who are pursuing or have recently completed their PhD and want to gain teaching experience. The Department of Environmental Sciences at BCAS focuses on interdisciplinary studies combining ecology, environmental chemistry, pollution control, sustainability, and climate change. Faculty members are expected to teach both theory and practical classes, guide students in projects and research, and contribute to the overall academic environment. The position offers flexible engagement based on workload requirements and provides honorarium as per University Grants Commission (UGC) norms, making it an attractive option for both full-time academics and professionals who can dedicate part-time hours to teaching.
