Application Fee Details

Since this recruitment is targeted towards social welfare under a Writ Petition, the application process is highly accessible.

• For All Categories (General/OBC/SC/ST/Female): There is NO official application fee mentioned in the notification. The application form is free to download and submit.
• Note: Candidates only need to bear the nominal postal charges required to send the offline application envelope via Speed Post or Registered Post to the Wardha office. No Demand Drafts or postal orders are required unless explicitly requested in future addendums.

Age Limit Requirements (As on 01/03/2026)

The age limits set by the Maharashtra state government for contractual social welfare posts ensure maturity and capability.

• Minimum Age Limit: The applicant must have completed at least 18 Years of age. (However, given the graduation and experience requirements, candidates usually fall in the 22+ age bracket).
• Maximum Age Limit: The upper age limit for open category candidates is generally 38 Years.
• Age Relaxation: As per Government of Maharashtra norms, candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/VJNT/SBC) will receive an age relaxation of up to 5 years (Maximum 43 Years). PwD candidates will receive relaxations as per standard state policies.

Eligibility Criteria for Support Person 2026

Because the role involves sensitive child welfare duties, DWCDO Wardha has set very specific academic and practical experience requirements for all applicants.

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Post Graduate Degree (Master's) in Social Work (MSW), Sociology, Psychology, or Child Development from a recognized university.
• Alternative Qualification: If a candidate does not have a Post Graduate degree, they can still apply if they hold a regular Bachelor's Degree (Graduate) in any discipline, provided they have a strict minimum of 3 years of documented work experience in the field of child education, child development, or child protection in a registered government or NGO setup.
• Computer Proficiency: In today’s digital age, maintaining case files digitally is mandatory. Therefore, all candidates must possess a valid Basic Computer Training Certificate. Certificates like MS-CIT (Maharashtra State Certificate in Information Technology), DOEACC (CCC), or an equivalent recognized computer diploma are strictly required.
• Language Proficiency: Excellent command over Marathi (reading, writing, and speaking) is absolutely mandatory to interact with local children and families. Basic knowledge of Hindi and English is also expected.

Selection Process for DWCDO Support Person

The selection process is straight-forward but strictly based on merit and relevant social work experience.

1. Scrutiny of Offline Applications: Once the deadline of 11th March 2026 crosses, a designated committee will verify all received offline forms. Applications without proper experience certificates or MS-CIT documents will be instantly rejected.
2. Merit-Based Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in their Post Graduation / Graduation and the total number of years they have worked in child protection services.
3. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a direct Personal Interview at the District Collectorate or DWCDO office in Wardha. The interview will test their knowledge of the Juvenile Justice Act, POCSO Act, child psychology, and crisis handling abilities.
4. Final Document Verification: Candidates clearing the interview must present all original mark sheets, caste certificates (with validity), and experience letters before receiving the final contractual joining letter.
