It provides a cost-effective and time-bound mechanism for MSMEs to recover their dues without resorting to lengthy court proceedings.

MSEFC Daman & Diu operates under the administrative control of the Directorate of Industries, UT Administration of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. ⏳ Age Limit

The maximum age limit for applying to this position is 40 years as on the date of walk-in interview (29 January 2026). Age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per Government of India norms and UT Administration rules.

Typically, age relaxation is granted as follows:

🎓 Qualification

Essential Educational Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following mandatory qualification:

  • LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized university or institute approved by the Bar Council of India
  • Minimum 50% marks in the LLB degree
  • Valid enrollment with the Bar Council (State or All India Bar Council)

Experience Requirements

The position demands substantial practical legal experience in specific areas. Candidates must fulfill the following experience criteria:

Minimum Post-Qualification Experience:

  • At least 2 years of legal work experience after obtaining LLB degree
  • Experience should involve practice in various courts, government organizations, or quasi-judicial bodies including tribunals

Mandatory Specialized Experience:

  • Minimum one year of relevant experience in dealing with MSME-related disputes, arbitration, or mediation matters
  • Experience in commercial dispute resolution, debt recovery, or contract law will be advantageous

Drafting and Communication Skills:

Selection Methodology

The selection process consists of the following stages:

Stage 1: Document Verification

Upon arrival at the interview venue, candidates will undergo document verification. The scrutiny committee will check the following:

  • Educational qualification certificates (10th, 12th, LLB degree, mark sheets)
  • Bar Council enrollment certificate
  • Experience certificates from previous employers/clients
  • Proof of MSME-related legal work experience
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Identity proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License)
  • Recent passport-size photographs

Only candidates whose documents are found in order will be allowed to appear for the interview.

Stage 2: Personal Interview

The interview will be conducted by a duly constituted selection committee comprising senior officials from the Industries Department and legal experts. The interview will assess:

  • Knowledge of MSMED Act, 2006 and arbitration laws
  • Understanding of commercial dispute resolution mechanisms
  • Practical experience in handling legal proceedings

Stage 3: Final Selection

Final selection will be based on merit, considering educational qualifications, relevant experience, and performance in the interview. The selected candidate will be informed through email/phone, and an engagement letter will be issued subject to satisfactory police verification and medical fitness.

Note: The engagement is purely contractual and does not confer any right for regularization or claim for permanent appointment. Remuneration will be released after receipt of funds from the Ministry of MSME under the RAMP Scheme.
