Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), one of India's largest public sector undertakings and a Maharatna Company, has officially released the IOCL Marketing Division Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification on 28 February 2026. A total of 144 vacancies have been announced under Advertisement No. IOCL/MKTG/ER/APPR/2025-26/1 for engagement of Trade Apprentices, Technician Apprentices, Graduate Apprentices, and Data Entry Operators (DEO) under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973/1992. The entire application process is online, and interested candidates must apply through the NAPS/NATS portal before the last date of 09 March 2026 (05:00 PM).

This is a golden opportunity for freshers who have recently completed their ITI, Diploma, or Graduation and are looking for hands-on industry experience at one of India's leading energy companies. The apprenticeship period is 12 months and the stipend is paid as per the Apprentices Act and Rules. Importantly, no application fee is charged from any category of candidates.

IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil the following educational qualifications to be eligible for this recruitment. The qualification must be a full-time, regular course. Part-time or distance learning qualifications are not accepted.

• Technician Apprentice: 3-year full-time Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD) from a recognised institute. Qualification must be acquired between 01-04-2022 and 28-02-2026.
• Trade Apprentice (ITI): Matriculation (Class 10th) with 2-year ITI in the relevant trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT. Qualification must be acquired between 01-04-2021 and 28-02-2026.
• Graduate Apprentice: Regular full-time Graduate degree (BA / B.Com / B.Sc / BBA) in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD). Qualification must be acquired between 01-04-2022 and 28-02-2026.
• Data Entry Operator (DEO): Class 12th pass with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD) with a typing speed of 30 wpm in English or 25 wpm in Hindi.
• Candidates holding B.E./B.Tech, MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB, or any higher qualification are NOT eligible.
• PwBD candidates are eligible only for Discipline Codes 112 and 113 and are not eligible for Codes 101–111.

IOCL Apprentice 2026 – Age Limit

The age limit is calculated as on 28-02-2026. Candidates must fall within the following age brackets:

• General/EWS: 18 to 24 years
• OBC-NCL: 18 to 27 years
• SC/ST: 18 to 29 years
• PwBD (General/OBC/EWS): 18 to 34 years
• PwBD (SC/ST): 18 to 39 years

There is no written test or interview for this recruitment. The selection is purely merit-based:

1. Online registration on NAPS/NATS portal and submission of Microsoft Form with 3 preferred training locations.
2. Merit list prepared on the basis of percentage of marks in the prescribed qualifying examination.
3. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification.
4. Pre-engagement Medical Fitness Test for provisionally selected candidates.
5. Final Engagement Letter issued to medically fit candidates.

IOCL Apprentice 2026 – Stipend / Salary

The monthly stipend will be paid as per the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973/1992 and the Apprentices Rules 1992/2019/2025 as amended from time to time. No other benefits or perquisites are applicable during the apprenticeship period.
